Paju
South Lake Union, Seattle, WA
After outgrowing their original space in Lower Queen Anne, modern Korean restaurant Paju expanded into a larger location in South Lake Union, set within an Amazon building. The move allowed for increased seating, a full bar, and new menu offerings centered around wood-fired cooking.
RazzBuilt led the build out of the previously occupied space (formerly Revel Pop-Up), handling nearly all construction outside of plumbing and electrical. The renovation features custom casework throughout, including a chef’s table that creatively reuses the existing countertop, a built-in expo shelf, and trim details echoed at the bar and entry wall. Rich walnut woodwork adds cohesion and warmth, seen in the bar top, entry bench, bar shelving, passthrough trim, and a custom lazy susan.
Additional updates include refinishing cabinetry and worktables, new paint throughout, a custom exterior blade sign, and coordination for the installation of new kitchen equipment, along with modifications to an existing hearth to accommodate a charbroiler and rotisserie.
