The Ranch
Seward Park, Seattle, WA
The Ranch is a thoughtful remodel in Seward Park that blends timeless materials with modern functionality. This whole-home renovation focused on elevating livability while honoring the natural character of the home.
The kitchen was completely reimagined, starting with a full demo and a new layout anchored by custom Douglas fir cabinetry. To enhance flow and function, a hallway wall was removed to extend the bathroom, creating a walk-through primary closet accessed by a sleek new pocket door.
The bathroom received a full custom overhaul, including a curbless walk-in shower with a hand-built tile pan and groutless acrylic surround panels for a clean, modern aesthetic. A custom Douglas fir vanity, towel panel, and coordinating casework brought natural warmth and craftsmanship into the space.
Pocket doors were installed throughout the home for efficient transitions, while new drywall, fresh paint, and custom Douglas fir trim on all doors tied the spaces together with a cohesive and elevated feel. A new heritage-style shingle roof capped off the transformation with durable, timeless appeal.
Downstairs, the basement was converted into a cozy media and entertainment room. Custom Douglas fir built-ins, including banquettes with piano-hinged storage seats and expansive bookshelves, made the most of the space while maintaining the home’s refined, organic aesthetic.
